I'm Luis Gadea

I’m an versatile Art Director, Character Designer and 2D Animator born in Canada and raised in Costa Rica (tiny small country in Central America)- now based in Los Angeles, California.

I’ve been working on animated Feature films, TV series and animated commercials. Some of my clients are Warner Bros Animation, Illumination, Dreamworks TV, Netflix, Animal Logic, Atomic Cartoons and Doberman Pictures.

When I’m not working on professional projects, I’m drawing for my own happiness by exploring with traditional and digital media new ways to bring fresh perspectives to my art. I believe that versatility is my superpower, and I love adapting to different styles and mediums while keeping that core sense of play and exploration.
